General Questions
What is the Return-to-Duty (RTD) process?
The Return-to-Duty process is a federally required program for CDL drivers who have violated DOT drug or alcohol regulations. Drivers must complete an evaluation with a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP), any required education or treatment, and a Return-to-Duty drug test before they can perform safety-sensitive duties again.
